Me, Me, Me!
So you wanna know a bit about me, huh?
For my day job, I am a software architect. Honestly, thats about as geeky as I want to get for now, so lets stop there. Wait. I love the Internet, but I won’t post too much about it since everyone does. Hold on…I’m also a big fan of open source software like Linux. Being a Linux user since 1996, I realize its not perfect, but its a definitely a viable alternative to Microsoft and other Unix products. Ok, ok…there will be some posts and pages related to Linux now and then, but I’ll try to keep them to a minimum. Yeah, right.
I’m a big fan of Ubuntu (or anything Debian related really). Been involved in the community since the beginning of 2007. I am an Ubuntu member, part of the Georgia US team, and on the Americas Membership Board. A not so recently updated Ubuntu wiki page is here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NickAli
I’ve been published for the first time in the Ubuntu User magaine, Issue 1, under New Features.
As a big believer that everything in the future will be about video, I co-host the Ubuntu Podcast and have taken a stab at video blogging at boredandblogging.tv.
For my other hobby, I’m a Brother of the Leaf (BOTL). No, not Mary Jane, but cigars. I’ve been enjoying them for about 8 years. Nothing like relaxing after work with a nice full-bodied cigar!
Can’t say I’m the biggest fan of politics…more of a libertarian than anything else…any other questions?

This is a flawless post, but sometimes I think I have to disagree with your takes and thoughts on some subjects. However, I just can’t stop reading what you blog about because it’s written so perfectly and elegantly. It is great to know that other people continue to take the time to think about what they are blogging about. I have a mastic siding related blog and if you are interested it would be wonderful if you could have a look. I am just starting out and I could really use a few tips or pointers. Maybe some day my blog can be as good as yours and I will have visitors that actually leave comments. I just figured out that my computer has this kind of trojan. I was running pretty much all of the Anti-virus things my computer has. The main one says there is nothing there and my Windows defender says I have two trojans so I’m not sure what to do. I’m thinking of buying or building a new one. . Right now I have intel. Im not sure which is best like Dell, Miscrosoft, etc. I need a gaming computer which can also be used as a school work computer. Any ideas?.
