Kubuntu CDs. ;)

They've been very good about getting them to us for booths at shows and demos in the USA. In the past, the few leftovers have gone to coffee shops and Mexico.

The money he spends includes:

1) Paying JR
2) There are 2 new devs at Canonical who will be working on KDE
3) He sponsors Akademy
4) He is a Patron of KDE, meaning he donates at least €5000 - €10000 per year

"Probably he counts money spend on KDE

not only kubuntu"

But what money? Where is this mysterious flow of funds from Mark to KDE, because I can't trace it, barring the one-off donation required to be a patron of KDE?

What he need to do is to pay more attention instead of pay more money.

I'm sure JR is running a flawless Kubuntu on his own computer.

But if (I suppose) only 20% of kubuntu users got a flawless kubuntu out of box, while (I suppose) 80% of ubuntu users got a flawless ubuntu out of box, it would always seem that kubuntu being a step-child.

Please pay more attention and quality test both Kubuntu and Ubuntu equally for every new feature introduced to ubuntu. Thanks.

Well ... where on Earth does it all go? I doubt he's paying JRiddell that much - who for years and up until quite recently was the only person paid to work on Kubuntu. Is he counting ShipIt, or infrastructure that's shared with Ubuntu, or ... ?

> this question makes me rather sad,
> because i don’t know what else i could do

Taking a look here:
http://apachelog.blogspot.com/2009/04/facts-about-rosetta-and-kubuntu-l10n.html
probably would be a good starting point...

And in detail, where does he spends these $2m? I'm just curious... I don't think J.Riddell sucks THAT much! (sucks intended as costs, obviously)
