Everyone is envious of the Automatix Devs, because they are big and independent (how indepedent can you be when your taking your paycheck from Technalign, really?).

They arent obviously big and indepedent enough, because its a dead project.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Best part of this blog

edit: getautomatix.com seems to be down.

That was a weekly occurrence back in the "hay day" of AX, figures to be a fitting end as well.

With that screenshot arnieboy's attitude sure hasn't changed :). By the time AX was safe and truly useful, other easier and better methods were available. I stopped recommending AX to people, and politely steered them away from it solely due to the attitudes and outbursts he displayed in the forums and irc and the messiness that followed.

I am sure that offset any gains in Ubuntu's popularity due to the use of the software.

While Automatix, undisputable from the public references & news references did help out, I do not think it that *that* much as they claim.

Thankfully, Ubuntu has now completely replaced it with more proper ways.

WOW.

I don't actually know any one that ever used Automatix at all.

Yes, medibuntu repository. But that's not from automatix itself.

Actually that one repository does it for me now. (together with an ocassional package from GetDeb.net)

It is indeed hilarious, if i thought the little kid was joking. I don't think he is. I really think he was 'innovating' hacking up some bash scripts.

bahahaha@arnie... Yes, crashing systems and wasting people's time is the best way to bring in new users! They love having to manually recover systems!
