Never out of the house, always in the dock). I had to reset it several times to get it to work again each time it froze up. Next, all I got when I turned on my iPod was a screen that said "Connect to iTunes to restore. But, iTunes would not recognize my iPod. I did everything recommended online to get it to be recognized. Nothing! For some reason I put the iPod to my ear and listened. It sounded like an old record player at the end of a record where the needle just goes sssshtic....ssssshtic....sssshtic. So I treated it like an old record player, I slapped it several times on the back! And behold, it came on! iTunes will recognize it for a little while then everything just freezes up, iTunes and iPod both. I think it is pretty much junk. I spent $400 for the damn thing and it lasted only 3 years! I think I will buy a Zune. Does anyone know if the Zune will play in the Bose speaker dock (one I bought 3 years ago for iPod)? My 3 year old 60G iPod started its demise by freezing up while playing in the Bose speaker dock during the past 2-3 months(my iPod has been babied for 3 years. Your an ipod saver! Thank you!!!!!!! I was a bit cautious about giving my ipod a 'good old slap' but my god it work!!!! Your a genius and need to get this info out to as many ipod users as you can before apple start making alot of money out of a simple solution. I spent ages on the apple site trying to find out the problem - NOTHING. then I found this link on the ilounge which was posted to another user. Great stuff! I'm so chuffed I now have my music back, thanks again!!!I would just like to say this is the most useful, yet surreal, information that I have ever found. Your an ipod saver! Thank you!!!!!!!
